Technical management and direction can often be a tough role to define. In the most broad terms, this role is about ensuring that the tech of the show, venue, or event comes together seamlessly. Good planning is absolutely vital in the show production process particularly because this is an industry that is constantly working to tight deadlines. A poor plan, or an entire lack thereof, can add hours to small tasks and days to large projects that simply may not be available. Efficient operations brought on by good planning is better for people working on your project and saves money, which in turn allows for more frequent and bigger events. This is the central idea and motivation for my work in this area, something I combine with my passion for theatre and live performance.
